TY Students Reliving the Rebellion

Reliving the Rebellion Today Thursday 3rd of March saw the TY students stepping back in history to learn about life in Dublin before, after and during the 1916 Rebellion. The students visited the Little museum of Dublin in St Stephens Green. They saw a huge variety of objects donated by the people of Dublin to tell the story of life in Dublin during the 20th century. After this we headed up to Merrion Square and again stepped back in time as we met our guides dressed in period uniforms. Our military tour truck took us to the key battle locations of the Rebellion including O’Connell Street, Mount Street Bridge and Dublin Castle to mention only a few, our tour guide providing us with detailed information and little stories along the way.

A fabulous day of fun and learning.
