St Mary’s students were spoiled for choice today at lunchtime when those with a sweet tooth were invited to sample the delights at Hedwig’s Halloween Bake Sale in St Mary’s Kitchen,
and those of a more scientific mindset – and maybe with the stronger stomachs – were invited to dissect cows’ eyes in the Upstairs Lab,
where they discovered the extrinsic muscles that allow a cow to move its eye up and down and from side to side,
and learned about all the other features of the eye like the cornea, lens, iris and ciliary body.
Students from first to sixth attended this educational event and special thanks to Ms Fitzgerald for offering our students this amazing opportunity!
