The annual DCU Access Achievement Awards took place in the Mahony Hall in the Helix DCU at 6.45pm on Tuesday 28th November. About twenty North Dublin schools were recognised at the awards ceremony. This annual event, now in its nineteenth year, is organised by the DCU Access Service to celebrate the achievements of Third Year students in link schools in the following categories:

The programme is designed to reward and encourage excellence in both the academic and extra-curricular aspects of a student’s school life. It aims to motivate students, raise aspirations and ultimately encourage young people to remain at school and consider third-level education as a viable option for them. Congratulations to our twenty third year students (see below) who were presented with awards at last night’s ceremony. We are very proud of their achievements!

Congratulations also to our two sixth year students Casey Harris and Gemma Reilly who provided some of the night’s entertainment. Casey treated the audience to a hauntingly beautiful version of Don McLean’s Vincent and Gemma delighted them with her gorgeous take on Ella Henderson’s Missed. Two positively virtuoso performances!
