St Mary’s Minor Team Stages Spectacular Comeback To Clinch Minor Camogie Title!
Huge Congratulations to the Minor Camogie team and their mentors Ms O’Mahoney and Ms Walsh on their successful victory against Clane in Drimnagh Castle on Friday 18th May. The students were outstanding in their play with the teams very closely matched in the first half.
St Mary’s minor team staged a spectacular comeback in the second half to clinch the Dublin Minor Camogie title. The team made up of 1st and 2nd years showed great heart and determination to come from behind in the 2nd half and to claim the victory. Despite strong opposition St Mary’s was the better team on this occasion with a final result of 5-5 to 2-4! Thanks, in particular to the many parents who attended the match final to support the the team and the school.
Camogie has had a great season bringing home three Dublin titles at Senior , Minor and U-14 – this being the third!
Thanks again to the coaches for their unstinting dedication to and belief in their teams.
