For our Action Project, class 2 Primrose chose the topic of homelessness. Our class organised a speaker to come in from the Simon Community. Our speaker’s name was Glen Gannon and he told us his story of being homeless. It was very moving and it really opened our eyes. As a result our class made a short movie to raise awareness of homelessness. This movie showed a homeless person being ignored, but some people showed they cared by giving her money. This shows that homeless people are just like us but are not as fortunate. Our class showed the video to students’ assemblies to raise awareness of this issue.
