Beautiful day to row on the river!
Class Friel have been developing their fitness and skills for rowing with the ‘Get Rowing’ programme run by Rowing Ireland. On Tuesday 9th May they got a chance to take these skills onto the river. The students met coaches at Neptune Rowing Club in Chapalizod where they were briefed before taking to the water in boats of 4 with a coach. They alternated the role of rower and cox and had great fun getting used to the feel of the boat on the water. On Friday 12th the students will attend a rowing blitz in the Docklands where they will race against other schools from around the country who have also completed the ‘Get Rowing’ programme!
