Good Luck to our Students in the Gael Linn Debating Competition
4th December 2020
News
“Last week, three of our second-year students, Khushi Ferguson, Beau Doherty Doyle and Lexi Doherty Doyle took part in round one of the Gael Linn Irish Debating Competition. Working with Ms Salmon and Ms Condon, the girls prepared and presented speeches on different topics. Our chosen motions for discussion were, ‘The Irish Government are dealing well with Covid 19’ and ‘The most valuable things in life are free’. The girls represented our school extremely well and we will cross our fingers that e get through to the next round. Best of luck to the girls! – Ms Condon” “An tseachtain seo caite, ghlac triúr dár ndaltaí sa dara bhliain, Khushi Ferguson, Beau Doherty Doyle agus Lexi Doherty Doyle páirt i mbabhta a haon de Chomórtas Díospóireachta Gael Linn. Ag obair le Ms Salmon agus Ms Condon, d’ullmhaigh agus thug na cailíní óráidí ar ábhair éagsúla. Ba iad na rúin a bhí againn ná, ‘Tá Rialtas na hÉireann ag déileáil mar is ceart le Covid 19’ agus ‘Tá na rudaí is luachmhaire sa saol saor in aisce’. Rinne na cailíní ionadaíocht thar a bheith maith ar ár scoil. Ádh mór, a chailíní! – Ms Condon.”...

Restricting your movements means staying indoors in one location and avoiding contact with other people and social situations as much as possible....
