The National HPV (Human Papillomavirus), Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Whooping Cough/ Pertussis) and Men ACWY (Meningococcal) Vaccination Programme will commence in September for the school year 2019/20.
The Men ACWY vaccine replaces the Men C Vaccine offering protection against 4 types of the meningococcal bacteria.
The School Vaccination Team will visit our school on Wednesday 18th September 2019 to administer the HPV Dose 1 and the Tdap Vaccines to first year students who have returned the consent forms.
The second school visit will take place in March/April 2020 when HPV Dose 2 and Men ACWY Vaccines will be administered.
Information packs including information leaflets and consent forms have been distributed to all first year students and we would urge those who have not yet returned them to do so ASAP.
