Green SchoolsOver the next two academic years the Green Schools team will be trying to get the travel flag for the school – our fourth flag. Saint Mary’s has three green flags for recycling, energy and water conservation. We will be trying to make the travelling habits of our staff, students and parents more environmentally friendly. We are currently in the process of identifying targets to aim for to get our flag. So far this year we have set up a committee of staff and students and surveyed our students’ travel habits. We are are also undertaking a walkability audit of the routes students take to get to school. In the coming weeks and months we will be starting initiatives to make Saint Mary’s an even greener school.
