First Year End of Year Blitz
The first year basketball team travelled to St Dominic’s Cabra for an end of year Basketball Blitz on Wednesday 9th May. For the first half of the tournament St Mary’s amalgamated with St Dominic’s to form mixed ability teams. This was a unique opportunity for the girls to play with students from other schools.
The second half of the tournament saw St Mary’s take on St Dominic’s. Mary’s got off to a slow start and ended the first half with a 6 point deficit. In the second half Mary’s turned on the heat and began to play as a team. They linked up well on offence and played solid defence. The final score was 26-10 in favour of St Mary’s.
