Christingle celebrations are named after the Christingles that are lit during the service. Christingles are made from an orange decorated with a red ribbon, sweets and a candle.
Each piece of the Christingle holds special symbolism to help us understand the importance of Jesus and the Gospel.
1) The orange represents the world 🍊🌎
2) The red ribbon symbolises the love and blood of Christ ❤️
3) The sweets and dried fruits represent all of God’s creation 🍏🍬
4) The lit candle represents Jesus light in the world, bringing hope to people in darkness.
The students thoroughly engaged with the service and had great fun making the Christingles.
