Friday 20th brought the first fixture for 2017 for the first year and 2nd year division 2 teams.
2nd years were up first against St Mary’s Baldoyle. The first quarter was very close with Baldoyle taking a lead.
However some excellent teamwork and hard work saw St Mary’s racking up the baskets.
The game was a good start to 2017, which resulted in a great win for St Mary’s.
The nerves were high when the first years started their match. They worked hard and were unlucky when a number of shots didn’t go in.
They worked really well together and put all their training into practice and should be really proud of a great first game performance.
