There was great excitement on Wednesday 11th November as Colm ‘The Gooch’ Cooper visited the school to launch our very own Treasure Bank. The well known Kerry footballer with 7 Munster Finals, 4 All-Irelands and 8 All Stars under his belt visited today in his capacity as AIB Ambassador to encourage students to open Bank Accounts. The launch was a great success and nearly 100 student have so far opened their accounts. The bank will operate weekly and is open to all students. Where there is treasure there are usually pirates and yesterday was no exception. St Mary’s TY Bank Committee are a bunch of crafty pirates who have been working hard to set up this project. Well done me hearties!
