On the 25th of February the sixth year music students went to the National Concert Hall to hear Berlioz’, “Symphonie Fantastique”,(you can listen to it by clicking on this link ) ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DWjI1uLSzw which is on their Leaving Certificate course. It was an interactive presentation and performance of movements two and four. The students really enjoyed the experience and it was a real treat to hear the RTE Symphony Orchestra perform this work live. This made the whole work very real and helped galvanise the work done in class.
