Day 1
This morning Wednesday 24th Sept. at 7 am thirty nine students and four teachers gathered in Terminal 1 Dublin airport for the beginning of a very special trip to Valencia in Spain. The flight was due to take off at 9.25 am and the last report I received from the airport was that they had boarded the plane at 9.08 am.
Up up and Away!
By 12.05 pm they had landed in Alicante and were getting ready to head by coach to Valencia. We wish all staff and students a very enjoyable trip and that everyone returns “Sano y Salvo” on Saturday night / Sunday morning
The journey to Valencia was over 2 hours long but the scenery en route was beautiful (See pics below)
And what better way to end the day than with a Pizza and some Ice cream
Day 2
The group had an early start for breakfast this morning and then they headed off for a tour of Valencia. Which included El Centro Histórico, La Plaza de la Reina, El Torre de Miguelete, el Mercado Central, El Puerto and Estación Norte. Some of the sights that the group have seen over the last 2 days can be seen below.
The morning tour of Valencia was concluded with time for lunch and some shopping
Later in the evening the group went to Escuela de Cocina Food for Fun. (http://foodandfun.es/)
This was a great experience for all giving the students a chance to prepare a Spanish meal and to try out dishes they might never have tried before. One of the deserts pictured below looks very tasty Great fun was had by all.
