Our second year team lost its semi-final by just one point last year providing it with the determination to reach the final this year. The girls beat Our Lady’s School Drogheda in their opening game. They then met Mount Sackville A and they proved to be a formidable force winning the match by over twenty points. We met St. Louis, Rathmines, in the semi-final. It was one of the toughest contests of the season but St. Mary’s team triumphed in the last quarter. Having secured their place in the final the girls showed great commitment and team effort in every training. They played St. Paul’s, Greenhills, in the final. The girls played a brilliant match and secured victory with a final score of 32-20. Congratulations to all the girls. Congratulations also to Julie who received an award for player of the match. She is a very talented player and a great captain.
